The FLOATING SHELF BRACKET's we make at Welds & Wood are designed to be strong and easy for DIY install.

Made from solid steel flat bar and rod, we have a range of lengths and depths to suit your floating shelf. At 22mm wide, the flat bar has been laser cut with a number of slots so you can choose where to screw to your wall. Useful to find a stud as you are not restricted to just a few holes like other brackets on the market.

We started making these as we found the current range in the market didn't fit our purpose. Our brackets are custom designed for our range of floating shelves, however these are perfect for anyone looking to hang their own shelves.

Drill DIA 12.5mm (12.7mm or 1/2inch is actually perfect if you have one though) holes in your shelf to match the rod spacings.

We cut them, weld them and clean them. Then we wipe on a rust preventative lubricant.

PLEASE NOTE:

We make these for our own floating shelves, and make then strong. If you are worried about imperfections such as the natural colour of steel, visible welds at the rear of the pegs, not powder coated etc. then these are probably not for you. But they work, and they work really well..

Each bracket has the following maximum weight capacity, including the shelf when:

1) a screws are placed directly next to the steel rod, along the top row of slots.

and

2) the screws are installed directly to masonry using quality heavy duty anchors (not the red or green wall plugs) or timber stud (steel studs may be less due to the flexible nature of steel).

• All 2 peg brackets = 40kgs

• All 3 peg brackets = 60kgs

• All 4 peg brackets = 80kgs

• All 6 peg brackets = 120kgs

Note: If you cannot hit a stud right next to the peg, and you must use a plasterboard anchor, the weight capacity will be that of the anchor specifications.

Our maximum weight is calculated by testing of our brackets with a 20cm peg held into both timber and brick wall.

Not intended for shelves wider than 35cm wide.
